An Expert Seeking Expertise
“When I started losing my hair – you know, even the great ones lose their hair – I sought out the very best hair restoration surgeon I could find, to make the big save, to save my hair.
I found Dr. Gregory Pistone. Doc saved my hair. I look great. I feel great. It’s my hair. It’s actually growing again. It’s permanent. And best of all … it looks so great … no one can tell I had anything done.
I feel years younger – just like I felt when I won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Flyers.
Bernie Parent segment starts at the 4:00 mark.
Hockey Fan or Not …
If you live anywhere near Philadelphia, you know Bernie Parent. Bernie’s a Philly icon — just like the Liberty Bell, soft pretzels, cheesesteaks, and Rocky. Bernie’s been immortalized with all of his Flyers teammates, including Dave “The Hammer” Schultz, Clarke, McLeash, Barber and coach Freddie “The Fog” Shero, who, before Game Six of the 1974 Stanley Cup Finals, motivated Parent and his Flyers teammates by scribbling on the locker room blackboard: “Win together today, and we will walk together forever.” Later that day, Parent and the Flyers went on to shut out the Boston Bruins 1-0 to win the first of two consecutive Stanley Cups, in 1974 and 1975. In both seasons, Parent won the Vezina Trophy as best goalie and the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP – truly, a remarkable achievement by a remarkable man.
Several years ago Bernie began to notice that his hair was thinning. He made up his mind to do something about it. He felt too good not to look as good as he felt. Bernie was determined to return to the natural, athletic appearance of his proud Philadelphia Flyers days. “I tried a lot of products but nothing really worked. I was losing my hair at a good pace. I decided that it was time to get serious, you know, time to see a pro,” explains Bernie. Before choosing a hair restoration surgeon, Bernie did his homework. He found everything he was looking for in Dr. Pistone: experience, expertise, reputation, and perhaps most important to Bernie, Dr. Pistone’s own personal attention to his patients’ happiness and satisfaction. With the support of family and friends, Bernie scheduled a free, private consultation with Dr. Pistone. “When I first met with Dr. Pistone, he was very good at explaining the procedure…so you can make the right
decision whether you want to do it or not.”
For Bernie, it all made perfect sense. “On the ice or off, I’ve always been in charge of my life. When it was time to take charge of my hair, I knew Dr. Pistone was the answer. The procedure itself didn’t take long. I was in and out in about four hours. About the same amount of time it takes to play a round of golf. It was easy…painless. It was beautiful.”
Big Time Save
Today, whether Bernie’s making a public appearance, playing golf with clients, entertaining friends on his boat, or dedicating his time to a worthy charitable cause, he always looks like the champ he is – and so does his hair. “I feel good today. I feel fantastic. I get up in the morning…as a matter of fact when I go to sleep at night, I can’t wait to get up the next day; that’s how good I feel,” says Bernie. “The procedure was a big time success. I’m very happy. I’m very, very happy with the results and it shows. Dr. Pistone is a professional all the way.
I’m very grateful.”
