Growing in Popularity

Eyebrow Hair Transplants are growing in popularity as women and men seek many ways to permanently restore or establish hair in the area. Here at Pistone Hair Restoration we offer FUE eyebrow hair transplants from our world-class, experienced medical team using the latest technology and techniques.

With fuller eyebrows becoming more and more popular, there is a noticeable increase in patients wanting natural-looking, permanent results. An eyebrow hair transplant offers these solutions in great abundance. It is important to base your decision on the doctor performing your procedure. Experience and history is crucial to the success of the transplant and we are confident in our renowned medical team and proud to change lives with our FUE eyebrow hair transplant procedure.

Many people never quite have enough eyebrow hair to achieve the look they want. Previous decades showed us bushy eyebrows as a trend where using tweezers and threading were a common practice to keep them nice. For some that meant over-plucking and permanent damage to hair follicles which did not allow hair to grow anymore. Others may have natural thinning eyebrow hair or are affected by hereditary hair loss and want to restore their eyebrow hair. Age also causes loss of eyebrow hair and in men might match hair loss on their scalp.

During a FUE eyebrow hair transplant procedure, the donor area is prepared first. Typically, for an eyebrow transplant, this is the area directly behind the ears. The hair is carefully and discreetly taken out of the donor area, one follicle at a time, and then transplanted to the transplant area. It is performed under local anaesthetic and many patients comfortably fall asleep during the procedure.

The results are permanent and you will see some immediate differences with a new outline. The full results are typically expected within 12 months for a standard FUE hair transplant. For an eyebrow hair transplant the desired look can be achieved in less time but will still require several months.

Hair grows in 3 stages so don’t be alarmed if you see some shedding after the hair transplant – it is normal. Hair growth varies between people and as the transplanted hair continues to grow, as it has done in the original donor area, you will need to trim the hairs in order to achieve and maintain the desired look. This is very rarely an issue for patients as most are used to plucking and shaving some part of their body regularly.

There is no downtime. Unlike FUT ‘strip’ methods, which leave a significantly visible scar (especially visible with short hair) at the donor site and requires considerable aftercare, the FUE method of hair transplantation requires minimal aftercare and downtime, as well as leaving minimal scarring. You will need to avoid exercise, sweat particularly, for a few weeks post-procedure as this will help reduce the risk of infection significantly. You will be given full aftercare instructions at our clinic and have our support should you have any questions or need help.
